BE THE REASON SOMEONE SMILES TODAY. We want everyone to feel comfortable here. Please be respectful and courteous to staff and other visitors.

POLICIES

  1. Be The Reason Someone Smiles Today: Let’s create a friendly atmosphere where everyone feels respected.
  2. Log-In: Before you dive into your reading or studying, please check in at our front desk.
  3. Identification: If you’re borrowing books or using our computers and laptops, just show us your ID.
  4. Borrowing and Returning: Borrowed materials should be returned promptly. Depending on the type, you’ll have different borrowing periods.
    • General circulation books may be borrowed for a maximum of three (3) days subject to renewal if not in demand.
    • Fiction books may be borrowed for a week subject to renewal if not in demand. Borrowers are allowed two (2) books at a time for one (1) week to be renewed for another week if there are no demands for them.
    • Reserve books materials which are frequently used and limited in numbers. These can be used/read inside the reading area two (2) hours if there has been no request for them.
  5. Lost Books: If you misplace a book, please let us know ASAP. You’ll need to replace it or pay a fine at an acquisition cost of the book, and processing charges of no more than (P 50.00) fifty pesos within two weeks. (City Ordinance No. 20-05 Section 5.03)
  6. Damaged Books: If you cause damage (e.g. Mutilation, Vandalism) to the book, you are required to pay a fine for no more than the acquisition cost of the book. (City Ordinance No. 20-05 Section 5.04)
  7. Bag Policy: For security reasons, we ask that you leave your bags in our designated Bag Deposit Area at the Information Desk.
  8. Respectful Behavior: Let’s keep things peaceful and conducive to learning. No smoking, disruptive behavior, or loud noises, please.
  9. Silence is Golden: We’re all here to focus, so let’s keep conversations low and phones on silent.
  10. No Eating: Food and drinks are off-limits in our public service areas to help maintain cleanliness.
  11. Cleanliness Matters: Please help us keep the library tidy by using the provided waste baskets and keeping tables and floors clutter-free.

Internet Use

Feel free to hop online for academic and research needs while you’re here. Just give our friendly staff a heads up if you need to plug in an external storage device. And remember, let’s keep those downloads focused on your studies.

Computers, Laptops, and Tablets

Need to get techy? Our computers, laptops, and tablets are here for you. Just let us know when you log in if you need one. You’ve got a two-hour window to work your magic, but please stick to academic and research tasks. No gaming or browsing for anything inappropriate, please!

Printing, Photocopying, and Scanning

Running low on notes? No worries! We offer printing, photocopying, and scanning services on the house. Just bring your own paper, and we’ll handle the rest. Easy peasy!

SERVICING HOURS

We’re here to serve you from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. See you during our library’s open hours!
