Be digitally literate, be aware, be knowledgeable, be confident in using technology and navigating the online world safely and effectively.
The term Digitalino is coined from the words “digital” and Filipino “talino,” which together mean digital literacy. It is an ASEAN Digital Literacy Programme (SDLP) that is being adopted by the City of Himamaylan in order to educate its people and protect them from misinformation and disinformation.
The Office of the Vice Mayor (OVM) spearheads this initiative by conducting workshops, first with the office’s staff and gradually reaching out to other offices and partner organizations, with Vice Mayor Justin Dominic Gatuslao as the master trainer.
Embarking on Digitalino is one of the trailblazing things that VM Justin has initiated to gear the Himamaylanons for jobs under the new normal and take part in enriching the city’s digital economy.
