HCPL Today: From Reading Room to Community Hub
It’s Library Month, and our October Library Awareness series goes inside today’s library — a place where learning meets community.
Today, the Himamaylan City Public Library continues to evolve.
It now holds 2,900+ books, 15 computers, 16 laptops, and 22 tablets, plus board games like Scrabble and Chess—because learning can also be playful.
Across the city, Community Learning Hubs serve thousands each month, offering Open Mic sessions, Digital Literacy trainings, and free review classes for the Civil Service, LET, and Criminology exams.
What began as a room of wooden chairs is now a vibrant hub for reading, connection, and lifelong learning.
