National Libraries of the Philippines Visits Himamaylan City Public Library for Technical Assistance and Observation
On September 9, 2024, the Himamaylan City Public Library had the honor of hosting a visit from the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) for a Technical Assistance and Observation session. This significant event highlighted the ongoing efforts of the National Library of the Philippines to support and strengthen the infrastructure, services, and capabilities of libraries across the country.
The visit was part of NLP’s initiative to provide local libraries with specialized guidance and support to ensure they meet the evolving needs of their communities. Through this technical assistance program, the NLP aims to enhance the role of libraries as vital centers for learning, culture, and community development.
The visit was a positive step forward in strengthening the Himamaylan City Public Library’s role in the community. By working closely with the National Library of the Philippines, the local library is better positioned to enhance its offerings and expand its reach to those who need it most.
